Afellay, Stoke
Afellay was one of Barcelona‘s stars of the future at one point, but loan spells at the likes of Schalke 04 and Olympiacos haven’t really gone in his favor. The Spanish giants were finally ready to offload the player this summer, who is now aged 29, and Stoke were ready to take their chances on the La Liga and Champions League winner. He scored only six goals in Greece last term, but maybe the Premier League is the right fit for him.
