Brett Favre back? It appears like the St. Louis Rams called Favre’s agent to see if that could possibly be the case. Unfortunately for the Rams (and our personal entertainment), Favre declined the invite and will remained retired. The idea most likely popped into the Rams front office minds when a report surfaced a few weeks back that said that Favre was in phenomenal shape to play in an NFL game right now.
In his statement, Favre says he watches some NFL games, but not many, and has been focused on spending time with family. He also stated that he is content with life right now and doesn’t need the NFL like he once did, when he changed his mind constantly between retirement and playing. Though it is refreshing to hear that Favre is enjoying his time away from football, we’re not going to lie and say it wouldn’t be exciting to see the old gun slinger suit up a few more times! It’s not going to happen, though.
