In past years, we would be expecting the Big East to pull in at least eight teams to the NCAA tournament. This however is the 2014 Big East and they may only be looking at three or four teams. The two locks are Creighton and Villanova, while Xavier, Providence and St. Johns will battle for a spot. St. Johns is the team to really watch in the Big East tournament to make a run, as they are playing on their home court at Madison Square Garden in NYC. They have a deep and talented team and could be a serious threat if they make it to the NCAA tournament.
Plus, it’s always fun to watch the nation’s best scorer in Dylan McDermott fill up buckets for Creighton. He is a serious contender to take home player of the year in all of college basketball.
