After weeks of speculation, in what seems like a yearly thing, Tim Duncan has ultimately made the decision to retire from the NBA. There will be no farewell tours. He will not play a final game. The greatest power forward to ever live has just called it a career and will bow out quietly.

Duncan spent 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs and ends his tenure with two MVP awards, 15 All-Star appearances and five NBA championships.

As far as stats go, he averaged 19.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in his career.

The product out of Wake Forest came into the league as the No. 1 pick in the 1997 NBA Draft and learned from David Robinson, in the seasons where the team had the “Twin Towers.” Although he didn’t enjoy the spotlight and was considered a quiet guy, he has cemented a Hall of Fame career and will go down as one of the greatest players ever.

Goodbye and thank you Timmy.
