WELCOME TO THE NFL TODD GURLEY!
It’s crazy to think that after beasting for the third consecutive week, Todd Gurley has managed to score his first touchdown this week against the Cleveland Browns.
Gurley rushed for 146 yards against a very solid Arizona Cardinals defense in Week 4, lit up the Green Bay Packers for 159 yards in Week 5 and against a more frail Browns offense, managed 128 yards and two touchdowns. It was the first time he made his way into the endzone in his career and a bittersweet one. If he couldn’t do it against to elite defenses, he was gonna make it happen today against Cleveland. So he did it twice.
Although his first touchdown was a simple run to the left, his second TD was even better. He broke three tackles on his way to a 16-yard score from inside the red zone.
Gurley has been the bright spot on a St. Louis Rams offense that has barely been registering any yards. With three amazing games under his belt, there is no questioning Jeff Fisher as to why he picked him up in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, especially since he’s carrying the team on his back and helping them get a few wins on the year (the Rams are 3-3).
