With all of the drama surrounding the New England Patriots in the off-season, losing Wes Welker to the Denver Broncos and the murder-homicide allegedly involving Aaron Hernandez; Tom Brady and his new core players have sustained the AFC’s third best record through 10 games. Before he hits the field tonight for an epic Monday Night Football showdown at Bank of America Stadium against the Carolina Panther, he joins ESPN for a SportsCenter conversation.

Mike Tirico sits down with Brady to talk the season he’s had thus far playing in his 14th season, to become a legitimate Super Bowl contender heading into the playoffs. Tom transitioned to talk the young crop of QBs in the league, which he’s even admitting to studying how they play to enhance his game in comparison to the traditional legends he grew up watching like Joe Montana, Dan Marino and others. You can watch the rest of the interview after the jump, which Brady also talks about wanting the young teammates to respect him for the present and not his past history to hopefully win another ring.
