Top 10 Questions For The Upcoming 2014 NFL Season

NFL: NFC Championship-San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

Can Seattle Become The First Dynasty Since New England?

The Legion of Boom is everywhere you ain’t never there. At least that’s how Richard Sherman has his defensive counterparts feeling on the field. This led to a dominating the NFL last year en route to an impressive Super Bowl win over Peyton Manning and the Broncos 43-8. After re-signing key components Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas to long term deals, the young Seahawks show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Honestly, who can stop them? Are we looking at another dynasty in the making?

If you look at the pieces the team has in place on both sides of the ball — QB Russell Wilson (only in his 3rd season), “BeastMode” Marshawn Lynch, deep threat Percy Harvin — not to mention the defensive side of the ball. They are impressive, both on paper and on the field and their chemistry is some of the best in the league. The only team that has consistently pushed the Seahawks are their NFC West rival, San Francisco 49ers.

Of course in order to be considered a dynasty, Seattle would have to put together some impressive seasons to even be compared to the last one we saw, the New England Patriots. Led by one of the greatest quarterbacks of this era, Tom Brady, the Belichick Bullies ran through the league with three Super Bowls in four seasons. This Seahawks team has the chance if they can stay healthy. The advantage they have i —you guessed it— the Legion of Boom. It is much more difficult to put together a defense like this one than it is to put together a high powered offense, just ask the “greatest show on turf” St. Louis Rams who had all the firepower in the world but could not win.

Is it premature to expect the Seahawks to duplicate last year’s success or will they prove us right with so much young talent? It will definitely be fun to watch.
