Will The New Orleans Saints Have Any Shot in The NFC?
With the Falcons still reeking of ass-ness, Panthers seeing an entire new receiving core and Buccaneers in rebuilding mode, the New Orleans Saints have an easy path to win the NFC South division this season. An 11+ win season is something that’s expected this year, again, with the team having an easier route to achieve wild card home field advantage and a possible first-round bye, if the Green Bay Packers suffer injuries.
With the 49ers enduring so many off-the-field problems that we’ll see affecting their on-field play in a few days, the Saints are a dark horse to creep up and surprise the many observers and fans around the league. We’re certain the Seahawks and Packers are playing very close attention to Sean Payton’s fully-charged squad this year.
So far in pre-season, the team has seen stand-out play from rookie wide-out Brandin Cooks and running back Mark Ingram, something that Drew Brees needed last year in a very limited offensive cast of players. With the defense set to be one of the league’s best again this year, the team’s fate will be at the hands of their head coach and team captain quarterback.
