Lance McCullers
Of years past the Houston Astros didn’t have anything to look forward to. Their wins were low and continuously stuck in the basement of the AL West. Having the 1st draft pick 4 years in a row has set them up for success. Along with that success in the first round, the Astros selected Lance McCullers with the 41st overall pick. Since making his debut on May 18th McCullers is posting numbers that the Astros can only hope will stick around. A month into the newly professional career, the .189 opponent batting average along with the 2.33 era, numbers are right where they need to be. McCullers will have the run support with the Astros bats alive and very productive. It’ll come down to him to decide his own fate for his future. A successful rookie season could end him in the number 2 spot in the rotation behind Dallas Keuchel.
