Roberto Osuna
After the recent demotion of Brett Cecil, it seems to be perfect timing to talk about Roberto Osuna. The 20 year old Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher is going to given the opportunity to be the everyday closer. Having 40 strikeouts in 34 innings, and a 2.10 era has given him the respect within an organization battling it out in a difficult AL East. The odds may not be in his favor with fellow blue jay Steve Delabar having more experience. Although, there is always one thing no one can argue, even if you’re a first year player, is your numbers. If there is production then it has to be recognized and rewarded. The Blue Jays could have their 9th inning handled if this Mexican Native rookie can keep up the great pitching.
