UFC 149: Faber vs Barão | Tonight At 10

UFC invades Canada for it’s first ever event in Alberta.

Tonight’s tale of the tape features “The California Kid” Urijah Faber and the Muay Thai expert Renan Barao for the interim Bantamweight Championship. Barão who’s been on a tear in the UFC octagon, is currently on a 29 win streak dating back to May of 2005. Faber is the fan favorite for this bout but Barão is an 2-to-1 odds-on favorite to leave Canada with the belt. With the influx of injuries in UFC, most of the fighters on this card weren’t scheduled to participate in UFC 149; but with a shot on the main card, hopefully these fighters will take advantage of this opportunity and display their talents for a great show tonight.

Fighters originally scheduled to fight UFC 149 were Jose Aldo, Michael Bisping, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Thiago Silva, Bibiano Fernandes, George Roop, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and Claude Patrick …just to name a few; but were all pulled due to injuries.

Be sure to tune in tonight as UFC 149 emanates live from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada
