Stop It Fivveeeeeeeee. UFC 153 To Be Exception To Five-Round Rule With Three-Rounds Tonight.
Tonight’s tale of the tape features UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva (32-4) as he faces challenger The American Psycho, Stephan Bonnar (14-7). Silva is having a homecoming tonight as the event will take place in his home country of Brazil for his first fight in over three months. Stephan Bonnar who hasn’t seen an MMA ring in almost a year will be making his return to action tonight as he challenges Silva in a non-favorable fight.
With the fight dubbed “Will we see a spectacular and obviously knockout or will it be the upset of a lifetime?” Only tonight will tell. For Bonnar to win, he’s going to have to put forth the best effort of his 11 year MMA career if he wants any chance at winning. With Silva being home, I expect the greatest mixed martial artist ever to get this one in easy fashion before the end of the 2nd round but hopefully not the first round for the sake of you “smart” people out there spending money on this event.
Other fights to be on the lookout for tonight will be Glover Teixeira making his UFC debut a he will look to continue his non-decision winning streak against Fabio Maldonado. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira also returns to the UFC ring in 10 months since Frank Mir dislocated his arm as he will look to TK (Fucking) O Dave Herman in his return fight.
The fight I’m looking forward to the most of the card features the new Orthodox welterweight sensation Erick Silva as he faces veteran Jon Fitch. Silva’s only lost two fights but never by knockout or submission which will be very difficult for Jon Fitch who’s making his return the UFC right after his embarrassing 12 second knockout loss at UFC 141 last December against Johny Hendricks. With Silva being person who loves putting guys to sleep by any means, this should make for some good MMA action tonight.
Be sure to tune in tonight as UFC 153 emanates live from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
