Poor Cris Cyborg, you still have to wait in line!
It’s official, the rematch between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm will happen, as Dana White has made the announcement. Earlier this morning, the UFC President made a stop by UFC in promotions for its upcoming video game, to make the formal announcing for Rousey v Holm II.
While Miesha Tate and Cris Cyborg have been pitching their campaign of challenging Holly for the Women’s Bantamweight Championship, Dana made it clear that nothing was going to happen in that division without a rematch. It’s unclear how long the promotion will wait for the match, but many are expecting both Rousey and Holm to be inactive until July at the earliest.
Ronda now has time to prepare herself this time around, including receiving proper boxing defense from a new trainer. We’re not sure whether Holly wants to wait 8 months for another fight, but we’re sure UFC is doing all they can to protect their face of the brand.
