Tom Brady’s Request to Overturn ‘DeflateGate’ Suspension Denied

RIP DEFLATEGATE!

The trial regarding Tom Brady and DeflateGate has finally come to an end, as the US Appeals Court has officially denied the star quarterback his request to overturn the previous ruling.

Last April, Roger Goodell and the NFL reinstated his 4-game suspension, which ironically was lifted nearly a year ago before the start of the 2015 season. However, the New England Patriots will now be without their superstar captain for the team’s first four games in a few weeks.

Luckily, New England will open their season with three of their first four games at home – against Miami, Houston and. Unfortunately, they’ll have to open their season on the road against the Arizona Cardinals, which is something not favorable to start their next campaign.

The only last ditch effort Brady would have at this point, would be to head to Supreme Court – which isn’t likely to be happen. Third-year QB, Jimmy Garoppolo, will now be inserted as the starting quarterback, who was originally planning to play last year before Tom had the ruling overturned.

Roger Goodell, who was mocked last year after the original ruling, gets the last laugh for the time being, as this will be remembered in the future when the NFLPA and franchise owners have another new collective bargaining agreement negotiation in five years – to avoid another lockout.

Let us know in the comments if this suspension was the right move by the NFL.
