Watch A Trailer for 30 for 30’s “OJ Simpson: Made In America”

One of the best shows of on television this year, American Crime: The People vs. OJ Simpson, just ended this week. It seemed like every episode was absolutely intense and after watching, it makes us a little sad that it was only a mini series and not a regular TV show.

But the OJ Simpson material is far from over.

ESPN Films will be dedicating an entire 30 for 30 documentary on the man they called “Juice,” with a five part series titled OJ Simpson: Made In America directed by Ezra Edelman.

In a recent interview, Marcia Clark mentioned she is involved in the project and as much of a fan as she was of The People vs. OJ, in her opinion, this is better. Not only will the series shed light on the murders and how Simpson was acquitted, but also race relations in America at the time, police brutality, and a bigger view at the story than just what happened on June 12, 1994.

“This is not a film simply focused on the murders or the trial. It is a much bigger story,” Edelman told Entertainment Weekly. “One that explores O.J.’s life and how race and his pursuit of celebrity shaped it…while at the same time documenting the racial dynamics of L.A. and the relationship between its police force and black citizens – a relationship thrust front and center into the discussion of the murders, and one that proved a vital determinant in the outcome of the trial.”

ABC will air the debut episode on June 11 at 9pm EST and the rest of the series will continue on ESPN on June 14.
