When was the last time someone put the meme on your face?
You can’t scroll through Twitter after a sporting even anymore and not see the Michael Jordan crying face meme. When North Carolina lost the NCAA Tournament championship this past week, the meme invaded every post. They put the face on a picture with him and his rings. They put the face on everyone around him as he watched the Tar Heels lose. But the crying face isn’t limited to just basketball, when anyone loses (in football, in award shows, in life), the face automatically gets plastered on every body imaginable. The meme symbolizes complete failure.
Although ESPN Film’s 30 For 30 series isn’t making a documentary on the social media phenomenom any time soon, after watching this fake trailer, they really should.
The Greatest Cry only logs in at 30 seconds, but it’s absolutely hilarious. Imagine if a documentary was actually made? Shit would be pure comedy. From Hall of Fame enshrinement speech tears to all-out Internet infamy.
Let’s all just pray this goes down.
