Welcome To The Major Leagues Jorge Soler!

“THAT ball… ABSOLUTELY MASSACRED!”

The Cubs prospects have been getting called up to pretty much end the season, since they’re not doing much for the rest of the year. While they’re play might not matter this year, just watch when these youngsters get their experience the next few seasons.

After watching Javier Baez have a great first three games for the Cubs, rookie Jorge Soler seems to following the same trajectory, hitting three home runs in first three games as well, with two of them coming last night against the St. Louis Cardinals to give them the 7-2 victory. This is following a HR in his first at-bat in the major leagues.

We doubt Soler even expected his debut to be this good.

With Arismendy Alcantara already getting good production (he hit a solo shot out of the park last night too) and the combo of Baez and Soler giving the Cubs some power hitting at the top of the rotation, 3B Kris Bryant is still waiting for his turn to make a debut for the squad. Word is management is going to keep the Minor League Player of the Year down at Triple A Iowa until 2015, with SS Addison Russell and RHP C.J. Edwards on deck for Chicago next year as well.

Either way, Cubs fans should have a good time watching how the rookies develop for the remainder of the year. Home runs galore?
