The odds are in favor of Germany.
After battling some of the best teams in the world, only two remain: Germany and Argentina. Both teams had tough roads to get to this point and their fair share of competition in the knockout stage to make it to the World Cup final.
Though Argentina didn’t look impressive at first, the heroics of Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuaín, helped them secure wins against Belgium and Switzerland and they survived their last game against Netherlands in penalty kicks. For Germany, it has been a bit of cruise control, especially after humiliating Brazil in their home country.

With Argentina most likely to play without Angel Di Maria, who is out with a strained thigh muscle, Germany will be the favorite to win, especially with Thomas Müller, Toni Kroos and Miroslav Klose leading the way. The Argentinian defense will have to play a near perfect game to have a chance against the German attack and Lionel Messi will have to work his magic on the field like we’ve seen so many times before.
