EXCLUSIVE: Why Golden State is Trading Draymond Green after Almost Losing Klay Thompson

These two don’t really like each other. . .

So, following last week’s loss of Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets, the Golden State Warriors are looking to rebuild around the Splash Bros. Prior to this, the team was in turmoil, from the front office to the locker-room, surrounding Draymond Green.

Throughout the 2019 season, the team had issues with Draymond’s weight, following his toe injury and it caused him to perform below his elite level. After the weight was gone, he started playing the best basketball of his entire career in the playoffs; but there was still issues within the team.

With the KD and Draymond controversy being brought back up, after he allegedly called him a bitch; in actuality, some very disrespectful comments were made regarding a player’s private life – for the entire team to hear.

While Draymond and Steve Kerr have had multiple blowups behind-the-scenes, which hasn’t been reported by media, that KD confrontation was the breaking point. This allegedly led to the team secretly and actively searching to trade him. After his arrival to Klutch Sports with Rich Paul and LeBron James, the writing has been on the wall with his Bay Area future.

The Agency and Draymond are looking to get a max-deal, which we don’t believe Golden State will be willing to offer him the bag. Considering the team is going to only be Steph Curry and Draymond for the first half of the year, we’ve been told we’re under the impression that Green won’t finish the year as Warrior.

It’s to the point now, where either Draymond leaves or Steve Kerr has to leave – that’s how bad it’s gotten. In the midst of the owner saying Draymond would be a Warrior for life, the team almost lost Klay Thompson to the Los Angeles Clippers last month before free agency.

With Klay failing to make an All-NBA team, his eligibility for a super-max was gone; but the team still gave him his full $190 million. It’s unclear which team will offer Dray the type of money that he’s looking for, but we’re hearing he wants to go to an east coast team and be closer to his family.

The team will have a meeting with Draymond to discuss his future beyond the 2020 season and present him an extension to sign. We’re doubting that their offer will be close to what LeBron and Rich are seeking for their client; so this move could happen quick.

Let us know in the comments if you would give Draymond a max deal or trade him next February.
