Adam Wainwright’s Elbow Injury
The St. Louis Cardinals have been downplaying the severity of Adam Wainwright’s elbow, but after previous injuries, including a 2011 season where he sat out, it has us second guessing. Without Wainwright 100 percent healthy, we can’t see the Cardinals getting past Baltimore in the World Series. We do see them squeaking by the San Francisco Giants based on talent alone, but it might not be enough to get past Baltimore later in October.
Judging by Adam’s last game where he gave up a total of 6 earned runs on 11 hits, this entire week resting his arms was needed before Game 1 on Saturday at home.
