Even with the injury to Derrick Rose during the season, the Chicago Bulls did not give up. Unfortunately, after locking down the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference, their season came to the end tonight with a loss to the Washington Wizards.

The 75-69 win for the Wizards is a huge step in the right direction for their young squad, making this the first time they’ve won a series since 2005 and the third time in franchise history they advance in the playoffs since the 1970’s.

In tonight’s game at the United Center, the Bulls started slow, but rallied in the second quarter and went into the locker room with a 41-41 tie at halftime. In the 3rd, they squandered opportunities and let the Wizards take a nine point lead by the time the 4th quarter hit. Chicago’s Taj Gibson was also injured during the 4th, making it harder for the team to rally and the Wizards held their lead to finish off the game.

John Wall finished the game with 24 points, while teammate Bradley Beal scored 17 and brought down 5 rebounds. Noah only scored 8 points for the Bulls, but was a beast on the glass, snatching 18 rebounds in their final game of the year.

The Wizards await the winner of the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers, with a legit chance of making an Eastern Conference finals appearance.
