Pro-wrestler James Hellwig, better known by many under his ring name, The Ultimate Warrior tragically passed away last night. According to TMZ, the late wrestler was walking to his car with wife Dana in Arizona and suddenly collapsed outside their hotel at 5:50pm Tuesday evening.
Paramedics arrived, as he was transported to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. This comes just 3 days after Warrior was induced into the WWE Hall of Fame for WrestleMania XXX, and making his first TV appearance on Monday Night Raw in 18 years.
The cause of death hasn’t been revealed, but the former champion had just ended a longtime feud with the company signing a recent multiyear deal to serve as an official ambassador; which he thanked the company in his final words at the hall-of-fame speech on Saturday. After the jump, you can watch Warrior’s last speech from Raw and peers reacting to his passing.
