RIP to Dusty Rhodes!

Virgil Runnels, known by the wrestling world as “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes has unfortunately passed at today at the age of 69. Throughout his time in the ring, Dusty would see success as a three-time NWA Champion for Jimmy Crocket Promotions. He also spent time in World Championship Wrestling, but gained mainstream notoriety through his run with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Early reports are saying that the WWE Hall-of-Famer died from kidney failure, but we’ll keep you updated if any reports are different. With a career in the wrestling business spanning nearly 50 years, the Texas native is survived by his two sons, Cody and Dustin Runnels (both currently in the WWE) – as well as two daughters.
