X Games Real Series Expands From 3 To 6 Events Starting In 2013.
Today, X Games & ESPN announced the addition of 3 more events to their event lineup in 2013 as we’ll be seeing Real Surf, Real Ski Backcountry and Real Women joining Real Street, Real Snow and Real Snow Backcountry. Next year along with the three new events, we’ll also see the long awaited global expansion of three new international events in Brazil, Munich and Barcelona.
We can look out for Real Ski Backcountry to debut at the X Games Tignes on March 5th along with Real Surf to follow at X Games Foz do Iguaçu on April 2nd. Real Women, which will showcase snowboarding, skiing, skating will debut at the X Games Barcelona event with fan voting beginning May 30th. The Real Series has been going on for nearly 3 years since its debut in 2010 at Los Angeles as has revived the sport as whole with sponsor ESPN taking X Games to new heights with worldwide popularity.
We can look forward to return of X Games next month on January 24th-27th at the Real Snow Aspen Events. XGames.com will open voting on January 8th for Real Snow fan voting as winners will be announced on January 27th during the conclusion of X Games Aspen. You’ll be able to vote for Dan Brisse, Pat Moore, Ethan Deiss, Jeremy Jones, Louis-Felix Paradis, Eero Ettala, Bode Merrill and Frank April.
