“You sold out! You sold out! You sold out!”
He really thought he would get a standing ovation at Yankees stadium, though. Turns out Robinson Cano got the opposite from fans in New York in his first game back to The Bronx as a Seattle Mariner, because the boos poured from the crowd like a monsoon during his first at bat. But it didn’t last long. CC Sabathia struck him out that round and the stadium roared in jubilee. Plenty in the city were also satisfied when the stat sheet read that Cano ended the night 1-5 with one RBI.
The only bad part about all this? The Yankees lost 6-3.

Obviously, tension is still high after Cano chose to make it rain out in Seattle, signing a 10-year $240 million contract with the team and crushing hearts across the tri-state in record speed. Although things didn’t end quite like what we saw on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon previously, Cano better get real cozy and tucked in with those boos when he’s out in New York. He’s going to hear them often.
