A gamble or the perfect signing? Word may have slipped yesterday, but today, Man United have confirmed the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a one-year deal. The 34-year old Swedish giant was out of contract following the end of his spell at PSG, after scoring 50 goals in 51 matches last season in Ligue 1; his total record for the French club was 156 goals in 180 games. The former Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona and Milan striker has scored 392 goals in 677 games during his club career, winning a massive 13 league titles.
Speaking on the move, Ibrahimovic said:
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United and am looking forward to playing in the Premier League. It goes without saying that I cannot wait to work with Jose Mourinho once again. He is a fantastic manager and I am ready for this new and exciting challenge. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far and have some great memories. I am now ready to create more special memories in England.”
