Hardware & Accessory Stability
The most annoying thing about the XBOX 360 has been the lack of stability for console’s with reliable lifespans and their accessories continuing to break after usage. We expect accessory to obtain wear after years of usage, but we’ve ran through some controllers, headsets and chargers within of months of purchase. The lack of duration for their products has been a major turnoff, with the cheaply designed and over expensive accessories we’ve had to endure for nearly a decade.
One of the biggest disappointments this console generation, was the initial rollout of the original premium and core Xbox 360’s that suffered from the infamous “Red Ring Of Death.” Microsoft became the butt of the joke in the gaming industry, but managed to release more stable consoles with the launch of Xbox 360 slims’ just 3 years ago. Some of our slims have had problems (including one not properly working the day of purchase) which has left us with disgruntled feelings towards Microsoft. For the next Xbox, we’re not expecting to see any console malfunctions this time around if they’re smart.
