This Still isn’t next-gen
Regardless of what narrative Microsoft or Sony tries to flip with their mid-generation console updates of the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, this still isn’t next-generation gaming.
Prior to PC getting 4K in 60-frames-per-second four years ago; the standard XB1 and PS4 consoles have now caught up for a few moments to the keyboard gamers.
However, some are still running and performing better on PC. While these new shiny systems may seem nice for the holiday, we believe that both should’ve been the original releases in 2013.
With Sony already planning their strategy for the roll-out of their PlayStation 5 (is the PS4 Pro a failure already?), we would recommend you get these consoles as soon as possible. If you do decide to wait a year until holiday 2018, expect next consoles to be revealed the following summer.
