A First Look at Off-Screen NBA 2K16 Gameplay

Get an advanced look at NBA 2k16!

Over the weekend in California, Take-Two interactive held a public showcasing of giving ballers their first ever chance to try out NBA 2K16. Just last week, the developing team of the basketball simulation series introduced an entirely new physics engine, which was something many fans of the series like us have been complaining about for the last three-plus seasons.

During the event, cell phones and cameras were banned but somebody was brave enough to sneak footage from the event, showing off a 5-minute quarter between the Cleveland Cavaliers and World Champion Golden State Warriors. Throughout the brief clip, we see off-line gameplay for the upcoming title, which shows a few notable improvements; including dribblers not passing by defenders so easily and sliding perimeter defense finally being addressed.

In comparison to off-line play we see above, the real gameplay happens when you’re online and finding out various cheesing users tend to use. The zig-zag crossover cheese has reportedly been removed this season, but we’ll have to wait when the game goes live on September 25th.
