Our next exploration of Gotham City is with the upcoming Warner Bros. game, “Batman: Arkham Origins.” Since the games official announcement last year, we’ve moderately been paying attention to the title due to it running on the extremely dated Unreal Engine 3. Here, we get the game’s first teaser trailer, which the Arkham Origins has instantly gained our attention in this CGI preview.
We’re reserving judgment until we see actual game-play, storyline and how it differs from Asylum and City, but this is intriguing so far. Batman: Arkham Origins will be available this October 25th on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Look out for the full trailer on this Monday, May 20th and after the jump, you can check out the teaser and more information about the game.
Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.
