Last week we saw a teaser trailer for the next installment in the Battlefield series, and some gamers thought there wasn’t enough footage shown for it to be considered an “official” trailer. Luckily, Battlefield has now redeemed themselves with a 17-minute visually mind-blowing video of gameplay.
While Electronic Arts’ Battlefield still remains number 2 in the first-person shooter department (see: Activision’s prized possession “Call of Duty” in its rear view mirror), the development team D.I.C.E. (EA Digital Illusions CE) behind the BF series is making the necessary steps to close the gap with attracting the masses. While the COD franchise nearly doubles the sales of Battlefield, we should find out if console consumers are ready to make a switch in their personal online multiplayer sessions.
Today, we get the first official trailer for the thirteenth installment in the franchise and follow up to Battlefield 3. The official unveiling took place earlier during San Francisco’s 2013 Game Developers Conference, as we got a glimpse of the new implemented Frostbite 3 technology in its first time being utilizing for the franchise.
