In recent months, Electronic Arts Digital Illusions CE has thankfully taken a break from media promo of their latest installment of the Battlefield series to patch up a long list of things in preparations for fresh DLC. In comparison to its predecessor, Battlefield 4 has not possessed the replay value that most of us enjoyed three years ago for its PC release.
Second Assault was scheduled to follow-up the China Rising release in December but was delayed (along with the other 4 expansions) until the developers and more so EA felt the game was polished enough to offer non-free DLC. The Xbox One received the S.A. back in November and was the only console that held the content for an extensive amount of time. Premium users can look forward seeing the new addition on February 18th, then March 3rd for non-premium.
As a direct follow-up to this DLC, the next addition of DLC “Naval Strike” will be arriving in late March for premium users. Check after the jump for more details on Second Assault and stay tuned for a press release of the water-based combat Naval Strike content soon.

With five weapons re-mastered for Battlefield 4, the return of the Dune Buggy vehicle, ten new assignments, and the Capture the Flag game mode, Second Assault combines familiar grounds with all-new features.
Caspian Border is a true Battlefield 4 classic, and in Second Assault the map has been redesigned with Frostbite 3 graphics, Levolution moments, and a breath-taking autumn setting.
