Watch the Black Ops III Multiplayer Reveal Trailer
Yesterday, during Microsoft’s E3 press conference event, we noticed that a familiar company was noticeably missing from its briefing. The second largest third party company, Activision, soon surprised many last night at Sony’s E3 event, to reveal that PlayStation 4 was the new home of the Call of Duty franchise.
Over recent years, Microsoft spent a fortune of landing exclusive downloadable content to their Xbox platform – which left other systems behind an entire month of waiting for DLC map packs, add-ons and zombies.
Unfortunately, the PC audience still has to wait while they’re playing Battlefield 4, but PlayStation 4 will now receive all timed DLC ahead of their competition for the first time ever. If that wasn’t enough, Activision also detailed plans to roll-out an exclusive beta for PS4 this August. In order to ensure you get first dibs on the multiplayer Beta later this summer, you’ll have to pre-order the digital version in time for live launch.
