Mr. Peter Moore gives his two cents on the new systems!

With the gaming community left in the dark on the upcoming console rollouts from both Microsoft and Sony in 2017, EA Games Chief Competition Officer and Executive, Peter Moore, has become one of the first major figures to publicly speak out on the releases.

In an interview with IGN, Mr. Moore opened up on how EA feels about both the Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation Neo systems, saying “Our developer teams love what they’re seeing right now.”

The plan for both systems is to convince gamers that standard console gaming can be on par with PC devices, from a graphics standpoint, and rumblings behind-the-scenes suggest that one of the two may be on track to having nearly identical maximum capabilities.

The third party publisher is already offering direct support to each console, which many believe may be the last generation cycle in the history of gaming. In regards to this mid-cycle catering to the hardcore gamer, Moore said, “I think Sony and Microsoft have done this incredibly well.

They have taken what they needed to do whether it’s 4K… to keep the platform fresh for technology that’s moving faster than the archaic nature of a 10-year piece of hardware cycle.”

With Sony set to formally unveil the PlayStation Neo next month in NYC and Microsoft’s Project Scorpio set for an unveiling next year, take a listen to Peter talking about the future.
