After years of numerous rumors of Electronic Arts wanting a fresh start after the Tiger Woods scandal, the two sides have agreed to part ways the upcoming next-generation of Microsoft and PlayStation consoles.
EA SPORTS and Tiger Woods have also made a mutual decision to end our partnership, which includes Tiger’s named PGA TOUR golf game. We’ve always been big fans of Tiger and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.
In recent years, we’ve seen a drastic decline in not only the “Tiger Woods” brand, but as well as his field play without seeing a major win in over 5 years. With Tiger no longer with the franchise, we’re intrigued to see where the franchise heads moving forward with no longer having a big name association to it.
