One of the biggest implements to gaming over the years has been the Free-to-play system. Originally started on PC for MMO’s, F2P has been quietly moving into the mainstream, most recently with the release of Killer Instinct for Microsoft’s Xbox One launch..
In comparison to making gamers pay a full $60 (£44.99) up front for new titles, free-to-play has offered full games at no charge, with pending DLC to cost later in its life cycle. Created by Valve Corporation (Half Life, Portal, etc.), the documentary centers on three gamers gambling their life to become a success professional gamesr; with highlights shown from The International Defense of the Ancients 2 (DotA) championships over the summer.
