Ubisoft Explains Upcoming ‘Ghost War’ Beta

One of 2017’s biggest disappointments

Last spring, when the Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta hit consoles, we had some of the most memorable online experiences with friends this gaming generation. Unfortunately, the retail game was limited to solo and co-operative play with friends, leaving out online player-vs-player battles.

While the title has shockingly gone on to become the year’s best-selling video game, we opted to not purchase the title until online play was added; but our stance might change with a price drop.

Ubisoft has now confirmed that an official beta for the shooter will arrive to platforms later this summer – in the new expansion game Ghost War. The 4 vs. 4 mode is set to include new gameplay mechanics, such as sound marker and suppressing fire. While no official release date was given, Ghost War will be free for owners of Wildlands this fall. Take a look at the detailed trailer below.
