After much speculation earlier this week with the celebration of 15th years for their racing franchise, Sony has official unveiled Gran Turismo 6. Legendary GT creator, Kazunori Yamauchi revealed the news earlier at a Silverstone to celebrate the game’s success since 1998 with over 70-million copies sold.
Unfortunately for those of you who were wanting GT6 as a PS4 launch title will have to play it on your PS3, which the real driving simulator will be releasing this holiday. New to the game will be an all new engine (we’re wondering if this is a good thing), “updated” graphics with the most exotic cars and tracks and an overhauled user interface.
We expect to see a demo next month at e3 in Los Angeles, as those of you who won’t be able make the event will see the official launch of the annual GT Academy kicking off in July with a Gran Turismo 6 demo being the main focus this year. Check after the jump to watch the official teaser trailer showcasing the game’s theme of blurring the lines between virtual and reality for the most compete driving simulator experience a game has to offer.
