Since his unfortunate departure from Konami Entertainment this year, resulting in the death of the Metal Gear Solid series, Hideo Kojima is planning to premiere his next AAA-title next week. After revealing last spring that he has a game catered to fans of The Division and Uncharted series in the works, a new image for the mysterious mascot, Ludens, has surfaced this week.
Above, we get a better glimpse at the partially-masked figure, that’s set to make a splash on PlayStation 4 and PC in the coming months. Unfortunately, the game won’t be built from the ground up, but Kojima is looking to use a third-party engine (hopefully UNREAL), to present for his rumored open-world title. We’re not expected a massive multiplayer online shooter for his next game, but await for more information in the coming days regarding the intriguing mascot.
