Konami Confirms Large-Scale ‘Metal Gear Solid’

A full-length MGS is in the works!

With or without the legendary Hideo Kojima, Konami is planning to give the Metal Gear Solid franchise a face-lift for next generation consoles, with the recent announcement of a future large-scale installment for the series. Kojima has been rumored to have left the developer earlier this year, but Konami simply said he’s just on an extended vacation.

Following the success of its recent release Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, we’re not sure if that trend will be able to continue presenting something that long-time gamers know and love – and that’s the inclusion of Kojima. With limited promotions, the game overachieved this fall in retail and digital sales from its core audience supporting the project.

For those of you who were disappointed with Ground Zeroes last year, a mini-game is something we’re anticipating that will never happen again under the Konami umbrella.
