Sadly gameplay hasn’t been the main strength of Take Two’s NBA 2K series in recent releases (shout outs to those TeamUps last night), but 2K Sports and Visual Concepts have created one of the best looking basketball video games to date.
NBA 2K14’s eye candy will get a major boost next week, when the next-generation deploys on PlayStation 4, then the following week on Xbox One. In comparison to the current PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions that weren’t that popular in our taste, 2K Sports sets the bar for the next-generation giving an in-depth preview of their all new Eco-Motion Engine for an entirely new experience that will be different on X1 & PS4.
From crowd reactions, atmosphere, coaching strategies, real player voices and an all new emotion of the game; the 2K Sports developers discuss all of the factors to maximize not only the visual realism but the emotional realism. Check after the jump to watch the video clip, also discussing all new on the fly dynamic player animations that affect how players perform and behave on the court.
