NBA 2K17: The Prelude Demo & Face Scan App Available on PS4 & Xbox One

Face Scan App Instructions

Remember the epic face scanning fail from NBA 2K15? Well, with a full season to properly address issues with the phone app, 2K sports has finally released a proper mobile app that users can test out – so they say. Last year, EA Sports introduced the smartphone scan through NBA Live 16, which we had little problems with in achieving a player model similar to our real life counterpart.

However, if you plan on spending a bulk of amount of time on the MyPLAYER career mode, NBA 2K17’s new face scan should have you intrigued after your first results. Today, the title’s new Prelude demo also hits Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, giving gamers an early run through of MyPLAYER, as progress from the demo will transfer to the actual game in a few days.

The entire download is around 15GBs and also includes a generic 10-minute experience of custom players to get acquainted with the new features and updated engine. Unfortunately, there’s no real team for a five-minute demo, so we’ll have to wait until early bird version arrives next Friday.
