Electronic Arts is officially stepping back in the virtual world of basketball games, which the motto on their return is “Slow Down”; no Brand Nubian. The emphasis and hype for NBA Live 14 is the all new IGNITE game engine, which EA Sports hopes to take next-generation sports to another level.
While we expect that to happen on FIFA 15 and Madden 2015 series next year, NBA Live has a lot to prove this year before the basketball community can take them serious again as a competitor to NBA 2K. In the teaser trailer after the jump, we’re shown an intro with Kyrie Irving and his Cleveland Cavaliers on the road at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden to play Knickerbockers.
