With the release of the Nintendo Wii U set for this Sunday November 18th, reps for Nintendo have announced one of the highly anticipated functions for video on demand for their new console will not available day one contrary to previous reports. Netflix, Amazon and Hulu Plus have been announced to now release in “the coming weeks.”
This comes a big blow to many consumers such as myself who will have to rely on our TV, Blu-Ray player, Xbox, iPad, Mobile Device, iPod, and PC to name a few as we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to test out the newest way to watch the latest movies and television. The good news though is that the TVii free service that lets user browse multiple video services all at once will be launching sometime in December before the year concludes.
This delay is definitely a blow to the Nintendo Company announcing it just hours before its launch but highlighted games such as New Super Mario Bros. U, Sing Party and the new touchscreen functionality for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will keep our attention focused on gaming for the time being.
