All in all, things are looking promising for the PlayStation 4. We weren’t looking for bells and whistles or a fancy smancy entertainment center, we just wanted to play some goddamn video games with next-generation graphics. That’s why we went with PlayStation this time around. Plus, we still have the first ever PlayStation, so we had to come home to the promise land and cop the 4th generation.
Apps wise, it doesn’t have much. NBA Gametime, Netflix and Hulu are the only things that stood out to us at first, but we already have Netflix on Samsung Smart TV and we don’t even use Hulu, so it didn’t make sense to download any apps from the jump. If you have NBA League Pass, that Gametime app would probably suit you, though
We’re still mad Wal-Mart didn’t have NBA 2K14, but we’re going to see what’s good with that Target “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” special later today, because the deal is about to expire.
One more thing to mention, coming from the XBOX 360 after years of playing, the dual-shock controller took a bit to get used to (the analog sticks are extra sensitive), but the trackpad and speaker are pretty cool. It seems like it’s a tad bigger and more spread out than the XBOX 360 controller, but nothing crazy.
Word to everyone we love, their Christmas just got a whole lot worse since we had to break the bank on this shit. We apologize now, ahead of time.
