While the PlayStation 4 was revealed and shown off in action last week e3, one of the elements from the console that wasn’t showcased was the new U.I. (user interface).
Today, Sony releases the debut of the interface in a form of a commercial, showcasing the new PlayStation Network online that’s been drastically modified from the XMB layout seen on the PS3. One of the cool things shown during the demo was the addition of retail games added on the PlayStation store which we’re expecting the exclusives like Killzone seen above to be “day one” added.
Cross-game chatting (welcome to 2005) was also shown during the commercial, but one of the new additions is the ability to talk to friends from your console to their mobile devices while logged into the PlayStation network by the form of direct chat.
