Last year, we welcomed you to the future of gaming in our PlayStation 4 and Xbox One previews. Now that both consoles have been out for a year, we take a look at the each systems initial year on the market and why consumers have made them the most successful pieces of hardware within a 12-month span.
There are obviously some key titles that didn’t make the cut to cash-in for 4th quarter sales; but judging by the performance Grand Theft Auto V and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (our personal favorite game of the year), developers should be intrigued for the upcoming months ahead with an install base of all consoles increased through holiday discounts.
