R.D.R. on Xbox One = Our Weekend
As gamers anticipate the next major release from Rockstar Games, the NYC-based company has revealed plans to finally bring Red Dead Redemption to next-gen. However, before you get to excited, we’re talking about the original Xbox 360 games, which will now be re-released as part of Microsoft’s Xbox One Backward Compatibility program this July 8th.
Every digital and physical owner will be able to run the open-world classic on their current system – regardless which version you own. While Take-Two Interactive, CEO Strauss Zelnick, hinted at plans of a new installment for the western series arriving on recent consoles last winter, Rockstar Games wouldn’t confirm or deny whether or not those reports were true.
But, now with the most-requested title seeing sales increase by 6000 percent in just 24 hours, we’re sure both companies will be taking notice of its profits over the next few days.
