Before we head into Los Santos later this September giving no fucks at all, we’ll have one detour of an open world experience to enjoy a month beforehand in Saints Row IV. Like GTA V, SR5 will be released on current generation consoles with no next generation plans in sight. If you played Saints Row: The Third a few years ago, one of the most annoying things was seeing Johnny Gat killed off (spoiler alert?) in the series.
Now the smooth-talking maniac of the Saints has risen from the ashes as the savior (not in human form) of the upcoming title. This is arguably the biggest news we’ve seen for the title with Gat returning to series which will almost ensure a pre-order before the release.
Stay tuned for Saints Row IV arriving in exactly a month on August 20th in the states, then August 23rd in Europe on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check after the jump to watch the trailer.
