The long-awaited title has been resurrected!
The open-world interactive cinema you fell in love with on Sega Dreamcast has finally been resurrected. The original $100 million production classic created, produced and directed by Yu Suzuki will finally get its well-deserved ending to its story, with the announcement of Shenmue III. The legendary Japanese game designer shocked the video game industry, appearing on stage to join Sony’s E3 2015 presentation for PlayStation 4.
Although the game hasn’t started proper development, Suzuki launched a kickstarter campaign – which has already broke records, surpassing $1 million in just 4 hours. His original goal was to reach $2 million over the next 31 days, but that goal will likely happen within 24 hours. The title isn’t expected to ship to PlayStation 4 or PC until December 2017 at the earliest, which we can expect news about the new title to surface within the next year.
